[JOURNÉE MONDIALE DE LA PROPRIETE INTELLECTUELLE]

En cette journée mondiale de la propriété intellectuelle, GUIU IP s’associe à l’hommage rendu, au plan international, aux nombreuses femmes inventrices et créatrices du monde entier, ainsi qu’à celles qui entreprennent.

Cette journée du 26 avril est ainsi l’occasion de souligner l’importance des solutions mises au point et des travaux avant-gardistes réalisées par ces femmes qui ont laissé leur marque dans l’Histoire, dans nombres de domaines. A titre d’exemple (parmi beaucoup d’autres), citons Melitta Bentz (inventrice du filtre à café), Rosalind Franklin (dont les travaux ont joué un rôle éminent dans la découverte des structures moléculaires de l’ADN), Hedy Lamarr (actrice et inventrice de renom), ou encore Marie Curie et Coco Chanel, bien connues en France.

Comme l’indique l’Office Mondial de la Propriété Intellectuelle (OMPI), dans toutes les régions, les femmes façonnent le monde grâce à leur imagination, leur ingéniosité et leur travail acharné, mais elles sont souvent confrontées à des défis de taille lorsqu’il s’agit d’accéder aux connaissances, aux compétences, aux ressources et au soutien nécessaires à leur épanouissement.

[WORLD INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY DAY]

On this World Intellectual Property Day, GUIU IP joins the international tribute to the many women around the world, inventors, creators and entrepreneurs. This day of April 26 is an opportunity to highlight the importance of the solutions developed and the avant-garde work carried out by these women who have left their mark on history in many fields. For example (among many others), let’s mention Melitta Bentz (inventor of the coffee filter), Rosalind Franklin (whose work played an eminent role in the discovery of the molecular structures of DNA), Hedy Lamarr (actress and inventor of renown), or Marie Curie and Coco Chanel, well known in France.

As the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO) points out, in all regions, women are shaping the world through their imagination, ingenuity and hard work, but they often face significant challenges when it comes to accessing the knowledge, skills, resources and support necessary for their fulfimment.
